The “School Days” Museum Inc. had its beginnings in the 1980’s as an Archival Committee, established by the Central Branch of the New Brunswick Society of Retired Teachers (NBSRT). As collections increased, it was soon realized that the Museum should have a broader base than just one branch. The Provincial Executive of the NBSRT was approached, requesting that it become a standing committee of the NBSRT. They agreed to become the official sponsor in 1989. The Museum was incorporated in 1991.
