Provincial Normal School Fire

On May 5, 1929, a fire broke out on the lower floor of the Provincial Normal School. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but
speculation at the time says that it was accidental. The entire building except for the annex and the stone facade, now the front of
the Justice Building, was destroyed. The Normal School was rebuilt in the following years and reopened in December 1931.
